     how can i access the cam retard function on the maxisys pro?im trying to set the timing on a 1996 chevrolet silverado c1500 5.7L

    Find cam retard in data stream, loosen dist. slightly when engine is up to temp then
    turn slightly in on direction or the other, rev engine to about 1500rpm to display
    updated retard. Spec is 0 +or- 2 degrees, may take a few tries. Good luckcam retard

     Figure to be politically correct , as  not offend  any sensitivity, Cam Retard would be placed in something under "Special" functions like The Special Olympics.

    Hello, you can find the CMP retard in Live data, here is the path:
    1996 LD Trk, MPV, Incomplete Others-(R)5.7 V8 L31-4 speed automatic- California emissions-Powertrain-Live Data- Engine live data-Engine data 1
